Sparkle Like a Jewel
Dear Readers:
Sometimes I feel insecure and wonder what I have to offer others to make them think about changing their lives. What would another person see in me that would draw them to my wonderful Savior and friend?
I think I found the answer in two verses in Zechariah 9. They are the following:
Zechariah 9:9
Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion!
Shout, Daughter Jerusalem!
See, your king comes to you,
righteous and victorious,
lowly and riding on a donkey,
on a colt, the foal of a donkey.
and Zechariah 9:16
The LORD their God will save his people on that day
as a shepherd saves his flock.
They will sparkle in his land
like jewels in a crown.
The first verse identifies the source of why the people of Zion can rejoice. The second identifies what can happen to persons whom God saves and becomes their shepherd. They can sparkle like jewels.
See you next time,
Arlen

I like that idea Arlen. I have realized that it doesn't matter who I am or what I can do, with Gods love and transforming power and my willingness , anything is possible. Great thought
Thanks for the comment Galen. I never read the scripture about God's people sparkling like a jewel in a crown, and it struck me that Zechariah wrote that after he talked about the King(Jesus) coming back on a donkey.
